Sweden Part 2

Huge cinnamon rolls are a thing in Sweden

The last leg of our trip took us to Gothenburg, Sweden, and back to Stockholm for a day before returning home. By the time we got to Gothenburg, it really was time to finish up. We walked the streets of Gothenburg and went to a couple of places nearby, basically what we had been doing for a month and a half. I don’t have much to say. Nothing brilliant happened. So I’ll just post some pictures and let the captions describe what you are looking at.

Here we go.

Skansen Kronan, a historic 17th-century fortress located on the Risåsberget hill in the Haga district of Gothenburg

The next ones are from in and around Stockholm. For our one day, we took a ferry that is part of the transit system there

I don’t remember where this next one is, but it’s a nice photo. There are many scenic spots around Stockholm.

And finally, more historical buildings in Stockholm

The House of Nobility (Riddarhuset) in Gamla stan, the old town of Stockholm

Norstedt Building (Norstedtshuset), a prominent red-brick landmark overlooking the water in Stockholm

Strömsborg, a small, picturesque island located in central Stockholm

So, that’s it. We’re home now. Myung’s dealing with jet lag, but I seem to have recovered quickly. A good night’s sleep in Seoul before taking the 4+ hour bus ride to Gyeongju worked for me. Sleeping in our own beds feels good.

Be well, all of you.

This is my pack. I’ve taken it with me since 1993. Like me, it just keeps on truckin’ like the doo-dah man, who once told me you got to play your hand. Sometimes, your cards ain’t worth a damn if you don’t lay ’em down.
